Didn't get PS1, PS2 or PS3 at same time as U.S. & we never got Nintendo machines same time, I think we got Wii-U pretty close though, like a month or 2.
But, with PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP & PSP ALL getting releases significantly after there JPN & N.A. counterparts, I am more than used to this continual slap in the face.
I mean Europe buys WAAAY more Playstations than N.A. do......& we are bundled into Europe when it comes to manufacturing & allocatin...
And Kinect 2.0 will be just as useless, & better nothing either. The controller experience CANNOT be bettered at this point for console gamers, & especially with all this Hollywood "Minority Report" bs.
MS fanboys will be hitting the disagree button with passionate anger, but fact is, I am right & they are wrong.
Kinect 2.0 is an even bigger waste of money, & resources, than Kinect, because the outcome wasn't really 100% know...
In other words, due to MS, we now will always get cheapened pc's in a neat box, with a controller, so as to make porting the multiple hundreds of shooters from pc to console will be easier & cheaper for developers, then they can charge us FULL retail price for a digital version of the game. Wow, only MS fanboys could see this as a good thing for the future of console gaming.
I mean, I don't want developers struggling to make games for a system & get no back up from s...
He a yank, of course he's gonna back the home team. And even if he's not a yank, he is an Atari boy, so again, it's a matter of backing the home team, as Atari are an American founded company.
So out of all those millions they earned for this kickstarter project, most of the money went into there personal bank accounts, another massive chunk was spent on booze, strippers, hookers & whatever other vices they have, then a couple of million was left to design, produce & market a mobile phone that plugs into your tv, has a controller, & isn't actually a phone.....
Well, if truth be told, when the general public gets hold of these things, & pulls one apart......
Show it at the event before E3, then release it THE DAY OF E3, (or day after).....that'd f$#k em'.
But seriously, the event before E3, really only has to show the machine & maybe some more tech demo's (akin to 8 Days & the buzz that non-existent game stirred).
Then at E3, announce a September release for Jpn & the U.S, then give Europeans & Australians the chance to buff up huge sales numbers before Xmas, by giving us a Nov 2013 ...
I say RUN IT ON Wii-U THEN.
Problem is, they won't be diehard Nintendo fans for long, as continually poor 3rd party sales means that 3rd parties on Nintendo consoles will become non-existent, instead of just virtually non-existent, & with that, there will be no growth in sales of the console, meaning Nintendo won't be making money on the console & will barely be making money on there exclusive games, whereas, because PS4 & 720 are GETTING THE LOT (especially PS4 with Sony's Nintendo-esque-quality...
I just want a PS4 NOW dammit. PS4 with Watch Dogs, infamous, Killzone & maybe a new UFC or Fight Night or both, would do me for a month or 2.
Although, I started seriously playing Bioshock Infinate last night.......and damn, that game, although pretty, just proves how much more developers could be doing with genres, than they are & are happy to shove down our necks.
Irrational Games have outdone themselves this time, as the new Bioshock is far better a game than t...
Dude, they seriously do need some new IP's... I mean, fair enough, I want a great 3D Mario for my Wii-U as much as the most rampant Ninty fanboy (OK, maybe not that much), but common, Zombi-U is a far better game than Mario Wii-U...I mean, really, another rushed 2D side scrolling Mario, or some new M rated, Metroid inspired, hardcore game would have sold some consoles. Another Bowser kidnapping fiasco is getting old, even to the most ardent Nintendo fanboy.
I would gl...
If EA sell out to MS, then it will be a tragedy, as although EA get a bum rap from gamers, they make & publish some great games, & there early hard times & history with the 16bit era (in particular) & how massive of inroads they made with not only 3rd party developers, but especially non-Japanese 3rd party developers, they really need not sell out & do that shady, greedy, gamer punishing crap that Rockstar & MS did with that $50 million GTA4 shemozzle, & even mores...
Soul Reaver is an awesome game, Raziel is one of the best videogame characters ever, & I am only disappointed I never finished this game. I played through a fair chunk of it, but just ended up with so many great games on PS1, that I never got back to it when I got stuck on a bit.
I would love a new one that recaptures how great the PS1 game was, as it is simply too hard to look at games on 2 going on 3 gen, old hardware now.
PS3 launched with Motorstorm & Resistance & both were must have games for me. Motorstorm left EVERY game for dead visually & had awesome arcade gameplay to boot, & Resistance is still one of my favorite FPS's for the way it made the battles feel so epic, random, non-scripted, so pretty much the polar opposite of a COD game. Insomniac kicked ass with Resistance, especially with the stress of launching a new IP for a new console & having to do it within PS3's launch...
Tekken's gameplay is just awesome. There is no fighting game as good as Tekken....Well, until April, when Injustice: Gods Among Us arrives. Then we'll have 2 top tier fighters, on par with one another.
Both Nintendo & Sega didn't deserve EA's support, & if EA could make more money elsewhere, then "GOOD ON THEM".
The way these 3rd party guys were treated in the 8 & 16 bit days was atrocious.
Both Nintendo & Sega really kicked every 3rd party developer in the balls, at every turn, & western 3rd party developers were kicked in the balls with spikes on the front of steelcap boots.
They really tried (& succ...
EA have every right to shun Nintendo, as back in the day, Nintendo were complete a-holes to 3rd party developers, & for 3rd party developers outside of Japan. I implore every gamer to read the story of how EA broke into making console games in the 16bit era, for the Sega Genesis/MD, as it is a completely amazing story of what EA had to go through to get the floodgates open for Western developers, until Sony came along & broke the f%$king gates down.
The hell that 3...
What are you talking about PS4isKing?
Everything is a remake of something we already own on PS3 or 360, just like the whole Wii-U catalogue, well, apart from Lego City (which I have no interest in). I do like Zombi-U, but apart from that, my Wii-U is riddled with ports of long gone games in franchises, that should be seeing new ones in the series being made.
I mean, Batman:AA was over 12months old when it came to Wii-U (albeit with no worthwhile upgrades), & pretty much ...
Look at all the butt hurt pc fanboys coming on here & carrying on.
I think it goes without saying that the 8x more powerful piece of tech, is in fact more powerful.
What people here are saying, (without them being PS fanboys, Xbox fanboys, Wii-U fanboys, or whatever), is that there is definitely not a 8x difference when push comes to shove.
The visuals on both mens heads are comparable, so it is not a HD to SD tv jump in visual fidelity, one way or the other. ...
Opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one.....but I don't want to smell American Mgees.
20 developers are impressed with PS4, one or 2 obviously are not.
The age old saying is, "you can't please everyone".
I am very impressed with PS4 so far, now as long as the price is realistic, then it's day 1 for me.
I hope Sony do announce that I can redownload all my PSN digital games onto my PS4, with no extra charge.
We may have a higher base wage, but nothing that justifies this.
60gig U.S. launch PS3 (with emotion chip) was $599 U.S.
60gig AUS launch PS3 (without emotion chip) was $999 Au.
Now, even if you take into account the exchange rate (which at the time was around the Au 0.75c to U.S. $1.00 mark, then add on say $100Au for taxes & such, & another $25-$50 for shipping, transport, etc, this, as well as retail profit should have equated to us paying around the $799 t...
